The Village of the Arts is a vibrant community of artists living and working together in Bradenton, Florida. With over thirty-five artists, the Village is Florida’s largest art community. ArtWalks fill the streets with art lovers looking for affordable fine art, jewelry, ceramics, designer wear and collectibles of all kinds. You'll also find inviting bookstores, gourmet cafes and many special events.
Most galleries are open Saturdays and many have extended hours during the week. Check listings for days/hours of individual galleries on our Artists and Galleries page. ArtWalks are the first Friday of each month, 6 - 9:30pm and first Saturday, 11am - 4pm.
In Conjunction with Art Center Manatee's American Watercolor Show, seven galleries in the Village will host a watercolor artist who will be doing demonstrations during the February ArtWalk. For a list of participating galleries see this info link. Questions: villageofthearts@gmail.com and 941-747-8056. Map here.
We just held the Grand Opening of our new Village of the Arts Welcome Center on 926 12th Street West. Stop in; it's a great way to get familiar with all the galleries in the Village, what they carry and where they are located. There are maps, photos, brochures and even a small gallery. Robin Miller created a video of the Welcome Center's opening reception. Thanks Robin.
The Village receives some very positive national press. Check out these recent articles in the Boston Globe, Florida Travel and Life Magazine, Art Calendar Magazine, Bradenton Herald, Bradenton Times, Herald Tribune, Florida Today, Sunday Telegram and St. Pete Times.
